Bipul Chettri is one of the best renowned artist with his melodious music from Darjeeling. He is surprisingly the folk/folk rock musician. He became popular among the people after his song called “Wildfire(dhadelo)”eventually. His first album called “Sketches of Darjeeling” which was released in july 2014 made him huge success in his music carreer up to the present time. Also became top selling artist. “Mountain High“, “Wildfire (Dadhelo)”, “Asaar”, “Deorali Darah”, “Ram Sailee – Ode to my Father”, “Rail Garee” altogether are the songs from his album which was everyone likes. Moreover he won many awards with his album.
His debut album Sketches of Darjeeling was well received. He was the ‘Top Selling Artist for 2014-15, and was in the Top Ten for 2015-16, on OKListen.Com, an indie retail music site in India. He won the ‘Pop-Rock Album of the Year’ for ‘Sketches of Darjeeling’, ‘Best Pop-Rock Composition of the Year’ & ‘Best Male Pop Vocal Performance of the Year for his song “Syndicate” at the Hero Hits FM 91.2 Awards
