Bio
Sanjeep Pradhan (Nepalese: सञ्जीप प्रधान) is a Nepalese singer, songwriter, and performer best known for his hit songs Nasha bhitra and Deurali ko chautari ma. He started his musical career in 1991 when he was about 17 years old and has recorded more than 300 songs to date.
Sanjeep was born in Newar people in Kathmandu, Nepal on 2031/2/10 BS (23 May 1974) to Ganesh Bhakta Pradhan (Father) and Lokeswori Pradhan (Mother). He completed his School Leaving Certificate (SLC) from Juddhodaya Public High School in 2046 BS (1990) and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Public Youth Campus, Dhobichour, Kathmandu, Nepal. He married Sarishma Amatya (singer/songwriter) in March of 2001.
Although Sanjeep Pradhan started his career in 1991, his famed rose only after he release Nasha Bhitra in 1995. Nasha Bhitra became an instant hit which made him a well-known Singer/Song Writer throughout Nepal. He started his musical career in reggae style music but later his music was more based on the folk genre as his voice was more suitable in that style.
Later he produces more hits like Deuraliko Chautarima, Siri ma Siri, and many more. Sandeep also recorded songs in his mother tongue Nepal bhasa|Nepal Bhasa (Newari Language). Songs like Mohani Wola and Punhi ya Jaa were newari aka Nepali bhasa songs that everyone loved and hummed.
