“Sirfula siraima” is the 3rd song from the 10th album of the legendary Nepali folk-rock music band, Nepathya.
The song along with its official video was initially released on YouTube on 31 Mar, 2017.
The lyrics in the song are based on the front man, Amrit Gurung‘s travelogue of spring 2013.
The song was inspired by his visit through the western region of Nepal on the spring of 2013. The various places mentioned in the song like Yamkhar, Maikot, Hukaam, Taksera, Damchan, Dhorpatan are the places he had travelled through.
“I was expecting to meet someone who could sing the original Sirfula melody in the villages I reached. But unfortunately, I could not come across anyone, But the words started popping up in my mind and the local Sirfula melody which I had heard during my childhood days started surfacing” – Amrit Gurung
