Band “Anuprastha” is Nepali Rock Band is back again with their new song “Aduitiya” officially released on Jan 12. Initially the band name is derived from Sanskrit word : Anu means ‘music’ and Prastha ‘first’. They release their music based on Rock genre, but also loves combining folk Nepali tune. The Band was formed in 2004 A.D, during their college days. The Band consists 4 members up to the present time. The members are locally from the Kathmandu.
Vocal & Guitar-Neran Shahi, Bass-Jimi Joshi,Guitar-Govin Sunuwar and Drum-Sundar Maharjan.

Song Info:

Aduitiya – Anuprastha contains soft rock flavor tone. It is indeed a lovely contribution of Anuprastha in world of music as it contains very lovely romantic composition. The composition as well as the music of the song “Aduitiya” is  Suman Lal Shrestha and Niran Shahi. And Jitendra Shrestha edited the music video. Music Nepal officially released the music video. The entire video was thus shooted by Niroj Shrestha & Bijay Koju and Director is Sonam Tshiring Lama.

Anuprastha Struggle:

After several years of struggle in the world of rock music, Anuprastha were successful to gain National Attention.  They were the winner in Reality show named “Sprite Band Challenge” 1st season in 2008, aired on Kantipur Television. There were 3 strong finalist Alt F4, Bequeath and Anuprastha. The Victory prize for Anuprastha was worth Rs. One Lakh and also ticket to shoot their very own music video from this show.

Since then the band is busy in performing various concerts inside as well as outside the nations too. Being winner in Sprite Band Challenge, in particular they released their first music video ‘Din‘ in July 2009. Initially only the audio track of this was released. Later the song became so much popular that it’s official music video was officially released eventually. The music video includes the struggle of Anuprastha in his musical career and on the Sprite Band Challenge also.

Afterwards they launched their first debut solo album “Anuprastha” in 2010. Hence, they already have released many hit songs like Din, Guff, Sukha ra Dukha, Kanchi. Finally after many years, they released Ujyalo, dedicating to all Nepali (who were pacified by massive earthquake, but never went out of courage and self confidence). In 2017, they launched their second album “WHAT TO DO KATHMANDU?” secondly. But due to problems of sound quality, load-shedding, etc they weren’t able to release this album in the mean time. Even under those circumstances they launched their music video of title track What To Do Kathmandu?

Tour:

Anuprastha had successfully been in tour in different cities of Nepal. Kathmandu, Narayanghar, Butuwal, Bhairawa,Pokhara, Itahari, Dharan and Damak as well. Bandwagon, Positive Vibes conducted the tours which was sponsored by Signature Whisky. After successful tour in different main cities of Nepal, they leave for another tour in DUBAI and ABU DHABI with various artists.  Dubai Nepali Rocks organized that event.
