Background
Nepathya one name in Nepali Music and the Legendary Band of Nepal for 21 years has come up with the official music video of their first recorded song “Aaganai Bhari“. Nepathya has been one of the most popular, highly acclaimed, and evergreen folk-rock bands in Nepal since 1991. They have been the pioneers in blending folk melodies into youth-friendly pop and rock formats. Apart from folk, Nepathya’s songs also portray contemporary Nepal. It is pain at times of war and distress, and yet the ray of hope an artist sees and imagines of… Critics address Nepathya as the Most Earthy Nepali Band.
Deepak Rana (now a pilot), Bhim Poon (now settled in Hongkong) and Amrit Gurung formed Nepthaya in 1990. Even though Robin Shrestha was the former vocalist of Nepthaya, it was Amrit Gurung. The one who remained as the guardian, leader, and currently the lead vocalist of Nepathya. But we still can hear the voice of Robin Shrestha in the legendary songs of Nepathya. Songs like “Chekyo Chekyo“, “Ankhaima Jhal Jhali“, “Kastima Ramri Chau” and more. As a matter of fact, he also sang the song “Aaganai Bhari” which is Nepthaya’s first recorded song.

Aaganai Bhari counts as one of the most well-received songs of the band. It is also the opening track of their first album: Nepathya and is the first official song of Nepathya. On the 1st of April, 1993, the album was officially released. This newly released video consists of the live performance of Nepathya. Also some memorable pictures of Nepthaya back from the old days. The audio is from the live performance of Nepthaya‘s Butwal show held on 25th February 2017. The video also includes the live performance of Nepthaya held in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Butwal. The Legendary Band is still one of the Top Band of Nepal today.
